THE SOUL
The theory of soul is a single theory that exists on its own. It is neither a religious theory nor its trying to proof the existence of god. Yes, its highly influenced from the religious beliefs and concepts of something that continues to exist even after death and caries the person in another life. There are many non-believers and atheists who believes in the soul and reincarnation of it, which is why experts call it a stand-alone theory not related to god.
Therefore, the soul is defined as something unseen that exists in this material universe. Scientifically, the soul is described as three types of energy ( a take from Plato’s theory of the soul): gross material, subtle material and spiritual. The gross material energy means the space in the universe like earth, air, water. The subtle material energy consists of mind, false-ego and intelligence or that is simply the identification of the body self. The spiritual energy consists of the soul and the super soul.
Reincarnation
It is a philosophy or religious beliefs that the soul of the living beings is transformed into another living form and thus takes birth again. This philosophy of reincarnation is often related with a belief of the soul in one life determines the future existence.
Karma
What you do is karma its your action. This law is not only limited to your physical actions. If you commit violence against another than its result generated we must experience upon ourselves in the future. Some of our “karma” or action is not immediate they are stored in our hearts and mature in due course. And the amazing facts is that “ if at the time of our death, there are still karmic reactions left in our heart and those we haven’t experienced yet than we have to take birth again in the material world in a body suited to the karma we deserve.
Ego
I have heard that most of the scholars call it identity of the soul or voice of the soul. But believe in reality, the soul is full of knowledge and ever increasing bliss. However, because of misusing the independence that souls are allowed in the material world, a negative ego crops up at times, also known as false ego, whereas souls that are respected give rise to positive egos which helps them enhance.
